Optional Services
Two types of Services are used in the Optional Services application: those that are standard to the industry (industry sub codes) and those that are unique to a carrier (carrier sub code). Standard services can only be created by ATPCO. They are easy to identify because standard sub codes always begin with a number whereas carrier sub codes never begin with a number.
Service data is created from the Services—Results screen. In order to reach the Services—Results screen, you must first conduct a search for existing Services data. For more information, see Search and View Carrier Services .
Services data is created in batches. You may create a batch as the first step or you may create a batch when prompted the first time you save data. For more information, see Create a Batch .
On the Services Results screen, insert a new row. You can do this using two methods.
Right-click an existing sequence and then select Insert (Before or After).
Click an existing sequence to select its row. Then select Insert (Before or After) from the Row Actions menu.
All fields in the new row will be locked except for the Sub Code field. Type the new sub code in this field; this will unlock the other edit able fields.
Insert a new row (as described above).
On the Services Results screen, click the right side of the Sub Code field to display the Help List for Sub Codes. Type search criteria (the code you wish to locate) in the Search field and then click the Search button. From the resulting list of sub codes, double-click a sub code. Its data will populate the new row.
On the Services Results screen, select a row and then copy it. You can do this using two methods:
Right-click the row and then click Copy Segment
Select Copy Segment from the Row Actions menu.
