Optional Services

Sub Code Table

The Sub Code Table is used to identify a group of services that is included in a bundled service. The Sub Code Table is only valid for use with a bundled service. A bundled service is identified by BD in the Group field of the Services Record.

Display the Sub Code Table

In the Sub Code Table cell of the Results grid (Services tab), click the Lookup Lookup icon button.

View Sub Code Data

Type a valid table number in the Sub Code Table field and click the View button button to display data in the table.

Create Sub Code Data

To enter carrier fare class information in the table:

  1. Click an empty row in the table.

  2. Type a carrier code in the Carrier cell. This is a 2-character alphanumeric carrier-defined code for the airline. As the data owner, you are permitted to enter your own carrier code in this cell. To enter another carrier’s code in this field, you must receive permission from that carrier via the Consent Table. The partner carrier code that you wish to enter must list your carrier in the Consent Table. For more information, see Viewing the Consent Table.

  3. Type a fare class in the Service Type cell. This is a 1-character code that specifies the service type of the sub code in the Sub Code field. The only valid service types in the Sub Code Table are flight-related services (Service Type F), ticket-related services (Service Type T) and merchandise (M).

  4. In the Sub Code cell, type a sub code or click the Lookup Lookup icon button in the Service Sub Code cell to open the Help List for Sub Codes dialog box. You may enter industry or carrier-created sub codes in this cell.

  5. In the Occurrence cell, specify the quantity of a specified sub code included in the bundle. For example, if a sub code 0B3 (meal) is specified in the table, and the passenger receives 3 of 0B3 (i.e., three meals) if the passenger purchases the bundle, 0B3 should be specified in the Sub Code cell and 03 in the Occurrence cell.

  6. Click the OK button button.

  7. Click the Cancel button button to undo any selections or changes in this dialog box.

Modify Sub Code Data

  1. Click the row for which you wish to make changes.

  2. Make the necessary changes and click the OK button button.

Copy and Paste Sub Code Data

Click the Copy/Paste button button to copy a selected row and paste it below that row. Two rows cannot have the exact same data; therefore, you will need to change the newly pasted row so that its data is unique. If you attempt to click the OK button button with two rows that are exactly the same, the program displays a message stating that "Duplicate entries were found."

Insert a New Row

Click the Insert Row button button to insert a new row in the table below the row you have selected (highlighted).

Delete and Delete All

Click the Delete button button to delete a selected row. Click the Delete All button button to delete all the data in the table.
