Ticketing Fees

Record List

Accessing the Record List

There are various methods to display the Record List screen and data on that screen:

Select Default or All Columns from the drop-down list on the ID tab. The default Record List screen shows only certain data columns of ticketing fees segments. The All Columns view displays all data columns. The same detailed data may be viewed by choosing Segment Detail View. Once you create a Custom View it will be set as the default view option each time you sign on. You can still change it to Default or All Columns.

Record List Fields (Default View Option)

Row

Row number of displayed ticketing fees data.

ST

The status of a segment may be Incomplete, Complete (batch has been released but not yet sent to subscribers), or Blank (batch has been sent to subscribers).

Sub Code

The sub code is an identification of the type of fee which applies. There are two types of ticketing fees: those for forms of payment and those for ticketing charges. To view a help list of valid sub codes and their meanings, click the List button.

New sub codes may be added at the request of ATPCO customers. Such requests will be reviewed by ATPCO and, if approved, creation of new sub codes will be announced via Passenger Tariff Bulletins. Once created and defined, sub codes cannot be changed or deleted.

Travel

Effective and Discontinue

Effective and discontinue (cancel) dates of the segment data.

Journey

LOC 1 and LOC 2

Origin and destination points applicable to the segment data

If a number in a LOC field is preceded by the letter T, a user-defined location inclusive table applies. For information, see User Zone Table.

Card Usage

This field will always be populated with a value. You may select values from a drop-down menu, which include: Any, Corporate, or Personal. If you do not provide a value, the default is "Any". This means the card can be either personal or corporate.

  • The European Union Payment Services Directive II mandate (effective in 2018) prohibits surcharges on consumer credit cards and debit cards that are issued inside of the European Economic Area (EEA) and that are used for purchases when the point of sale is also within the EEA. To accommodate the mandate, two fields are included with each sequence in which you may indicate whether cards used for purchase are for personal or corporate use and where the cards were issued.

Point of Card Issuance

This field may be blank, populated with a country code, or populated with an inclusive table (a table with multiple country codes).

To enter a single country code, type the code or click inside the field and then click the Help List button to open the Help List for Location Code pop-up where you can search for and select country codes.

To enter/create new inclusive table, type the letter "T" in the field and then click the Help List button to open the Point of Card Issuance pop-up. If you are starting with a blank table, type country codes in the Code fields. (If necessary, click the Help List button to open the Help list for Location Code pop-up.) Provide a description of the code and click the Save button. The table will close and a system generated table number will populate the Point of Card Issuance field.

To open an inclusive table when its number is already populating the Point of Card Issuance field, click the Help List button to open the Point of Card Issuance pop-up.

To open an existing inclusive table from the Point of Card Issuance pop-up, type the number in the Table Number field and then click the View button.

Add or remove country codes and then click the Save button. If the country data that you typed matches the content of an existing table that table number will populate the Point of Card Issuance field. Otherwise, a new table number will be systematically generated.

Security Table

Number of a corresponding security table (if present). To display a security table, click the number to select its field and then click the field's table access button.

BIN

This field applies to the passenger requesting the fare and not the actual fare selected. Use this table to specify the ticket designator(s) that must be used in the pricing or combined pricing/ticketing input command.

Ticket designators are free-form text codes which help identify ticket types. For example, the ticket designator CH is often used to indicate that a ticket was issued with a children's discount.  Airlines determine which ticket designators they will use; no standards exist.

This field is also used to specify that the value in the Fare Basis/Status field indicates a frequent flyer status.

Fare Basis Carrier

If a fare basis code is present, the carrier code indicates that the ticketing fee applies only when fares holding the fare basis code by the indicted carrier are sold.

If a data owner wishes to have another airline's code present, that other airline must inform (instruct) ATPCO that it concurs.

Maximum Charge

If a value is present in the Percent field, the Maximum Charge field may be used to indicate the highest amount to be charged for a ticketing fee. For example, you may charge a ticketing fee of 4%, not to exceed $7.00 USD. Maximum charge values must be typed with proper decimal placement.

If you selected the Search By option "Code", type up to the first three letters of the currency code in the Search field and then click the Search button.
